During one of our visits to a nursing home in Singapore, we met Mdm Hanisah — a kind and cheerful resident whose gentle smile left a lasting impression on our team.
As we spoke, she shared her wish — to visit her sister and spend a day at her family home again. Her sister, now elderly herself, could no longer travel to the nursing home. And because of Mdm Hanisah’s medical condition, she required proper medical transport and supervision for any journey outside.
That simple wish — to go home — had quietly become difficult.
Her story moved us deeply. We saw how much it meant to her, not just to leave the nursing home, but to return to the familiar warmth of family, to sit with her sister, share a meal, and talk like they used to.
Through the Getbulance Care Program, we decided to step in and help.
For six months, Getbulance Care covered the full cost of Mdm Hanisah’s transport fees, using the Getbulance platform to arrange bookings with licensed medical-transport providers. Each trip brought her home — closer to the people who mattered most.
Her sister later told us that those visits gave them both new strength and joy. What started as a simple act of support became a reminder of something bigger — that care is not only about treatment, but about restoring connection and dignity.
Stories like Mdm Hanisah’s remind us why Getbulance was created: to bridge the gap between care and access, and to make sure that no one is left behind because of transport challenges.
💚 Every journey tells a story — and we’re honoured to have been part of hers.
